"Superior quality and workmanship in custom concrete flatwork"

Concrete!
Today it is much more than hard grey "mud." Every year brings innovations that make it stronger, more attractive, and more practical for a wider range of applications. Few concrete contractors have kept up with these advances as thoroughly as The Concrete Company. Owner/operator Jim Wallace is a journeyman concrete finisher who has been working throughout southern and central Wisconsin since 1971. In supervising a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, he has earned a reputation for quality workmanship and intelligent application.

Skill and Experience
Because of the advances made in the formulation of concrete products, there is a need for qualified assessments in both its technology and application. Knowledge and experience in dealing with current concrete methods will result in a product that is better suited to its purpose while being both more attractive and more durable. The Concrete Company is qualified to assist in making recommendations for a high grade and rugged product, as well as provide the skill in finishing that will produce attractive and durable results that will add to the value of your home or business.

Decorative Concrete Products
The Concrete Company is skilled in producing special concrete effects, such as colored concrete mixtures, exposed aggregate applications, and special decorative finishes. We are especially proud of our concrete stamp work which realistically simulates a variety of stone (slate, cobblestone, etc.) or brick work, and a less commonly found decorative brick paver system called "stencil-crete" that is less common. Although poured concrete, the finished product is often difficult to discern from traditional brick paving. Yet, with proper sealants it will hold up as well as, or even better, than conventional brick work -- and at about half the cost!

Both concrete stamping and our stencil-crete concrete finishing system offer a high quality and beautiful paved surface for those who want something unique -- and concrete work that will set apart your home from your neighbors.

Qualifications
For 16 years before starting his own business in 1993, Jim Wallace supervised the concrete work for such well-known area contractors as Construction Concepts and Tri-North Builders as well as extensive private contracting. He has worked on both residential and commercial projects, including the Geneva National Clubhouse in Williams Bay, Marcus Theatres statewide, Madison area Gander Mountain stores, and many small commercial developments, strip malls, restaurants, etc. He has delivered quality workmanship in concrete work throughout Madison, Dane County and surrounding area.

The Concrete Company employs experienced and well qualified tradesmen who are known for their efficiency, work ethic and courteousness.
